ENTERTAINING DEMONSTRATION DINNERS:
It's like FOOD Network in your kitchen...see up close and personal how it's done. Let Chef John show you step-by-step how to create a delicious and imaginative meal for up to 12 guests. Ask culinary questions, exchange food experiences, then enjoy the tastes and sensations of delicious, all natural ingredients as they blend together to create a culinary masterpiece. HANDS-ON COOKING EXPERIENCE:
Roll up your sleeves, wash your hands and get involved as you prepare dinner right along side Chef John, then sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labor for up to 6 guests. Full recipes provided for each course. Most Hands-On Dinners are 2 1/2 - 3 hours in length. Starting at $60.00 per person.
PERSONALIZED IN-HOME COOKING LESSONS:
Ever wanted to attend a cooking school to learn proper kitchen techniques? How to sharpen and properly hold a knife? Which pan to use for best results? How to tell fresh from frozen? Well let Chef John come into your kitchen and work with you one-on-one and show you ways to enhance your culinary confidence and prowess in the kitchen. Most lessons average 2 hours in length. Cost $250.00 per lesson (plus cost of food) for 1 student...each additional student is just $50.00 with a maximum of 3 students. 207-468-8886
"CAST IRON CHEF" CHALLENGE:
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a contestant on FOOD Network's "Iron Chef"? Well let Chef John put you and up to 11 of your friends through your culinary paces. Each challenge begins with two teams being randomly selected, then each team is given a "Mystery Shopping Bag" from which they must plan and prepare a 3 course meal within an hour and a half. After successfully completing the challenge, both teams sit, eat, enjoy and vote on both teams creations to see which team is ultimately awarded the "CAST IRON AWARD". Join Chef John on a culinary journey to one of the many local Farmers Markets and meet the people responsible for providing some of the best culinary ingredients in the area. Then return to your home kitchen and prepare a lovely Luncheon for up to 8 guests. Starting at $40.00 per person.
EDUCATIONAL GROCERY TOUR:
Do you ever wish that you could tell a ripe melon from an unripened one? Want to know how to tell if fish is fresh? Are you confused by all the foreign ingredients in most products today? Want to learn which items are truly healthy and which are not? Come on a shopping adventure with Chef John and discover these secrets along with many, many more. Price is just $60.00 per hour for up to 3 shoppers (does not include the cost of food).
KITCHEN DESIGN CONSULTING:
Are you planning a major home kitchen remodeling project? There are many design services from which to choose, some are better than others. Are you really getting what you want, want you actually need? Will you be truly satisfied with the end results?
